Coverage

Where we work, belt by belt

Loughborough and the Charnwood area split into four parts that behave quite differently for a removals crew. Here is how we think about them, and which places have a page of their own.

01

The town and the university quarter

LE11

Victorian terraces off Ashby Road and Leicester Road, student housing around the campus, the town-centre flats, and the suburban semis at Thorpe Acre, Shelthorpe and Nanpantan. Parking is the recurring variable — the terraced streets fill by mid-morning and have no driveways.

02

The west — Shepshed and the motorway side

LE12

Shepshed, Hathern, Belton and Long Whatton. Mostly estate and terrace housing with usable roads, and junction 23 a couple of minutes away — the quickest part of our patch to start a long move from.

03

The Soar valley

LE12

Barrow upon Soar, Sileby, Mountsorrel, Cossington and Seagrave. A mix of older cores near the river and canal, postwar housing, and a lot of recent building. The valley floor and the level crossings are the two things worth planning around.

Charnwood Forest

LE12

Quorn, Woodhouse, Woodhouse Eaves, Swithland and the lanes between them. Substantial houses, stone walls with no margin, gradients, and approaches that sometimes decide the vehicle. Every one of these gets the approach checked before a van is allocated.

Area pages

Four written up in detail

These are the places where the local detail genuinely changes how a move runs — a motorway junction, a set of narrow lanes, a valley floor, a hill. Each has its own page rather than a name swapped into a template.

Beyond the area

We quote across Leicestershire and into Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire routinely, and long moves anywhere in the country. What we will not do is claim street-level knowledge of a town we do not work — Leicester, Nottingham and Derby all have their own movers who know their own streets.

Junction 23 makes a long move out of here unusually quick to start. Those are planned as proper long-distance work with a realistic first leg, and moves continuing abroad are on European removals.

Not sure whether your address is one of ours? Put it on the quote form and we will tell you straight.

Next step

Is your street on the list?

Both addresses, roughly what is going, and your dates if you have them. We will arrange a survey and come back with a written quote.
