Loughborough moves,
cast right.

A local removals firm working the town and the villages around it — the Victorian terraces off Ashby Road, student housing near the university, the suburban semis at Thorpe Acre and Nanpantan, new-build on the edges, and the Charnwood villages out to Quorn and Woodhouse Eaves. House, student, flat and man-and-van moves, plus an arm running into Europe.

The local bit

Loughborough moves, handled properly

Loughborough packs several different kinds of housing into a small area, and each asks something different of a removals crew. A terrace off Ashby Road, a shared student house near the campus, a semi at Nanpantan and a cottage in Woodhouse Eaves are four genuinely different jobs within about four miles of each other.

The town is also a place things are made — the bell foundry has been casting here for generations, and the university turns out engineers. It is not a bad standard to borrow: measure first, plan the sequence, then do the work once.

Terraces and student streets

The roads off Ashby Road and around the university are all-day parking with no driveways. We start early, keep the vehicle moving, and send hands rather than hope.

Suburban semis and new-build

Thorpe Acre, Nanpantan, Shelthorpe and the newer estates. Driveways and turning space, and volumes that climb once the loft and garage are counted.

Charnwood villages

Quorn, Woodhouse Eaves, Mountsorrel, Rothley. Good houses on lanes that narrow without warning — the approach gets checked before a vehicle is allocated.

Shepshed and the west

Straightforward estate and terrace housing with the M1 a couple of minutes away, which makes it the quickest part of our patch for a long move out.

Coverage

Loughborough & Charnwood

The town plus four places around it with enough of their own character to be worth writing about properly. Sileby, Rothley, Hathern, Woodhouse Eaves and the rest of Charnwood are covered from the same yard.

The European arm

Removals from Loughborough to Europe

Junction 23 puts the motorway network on the doorstep, which makes a European move from here a cleaner run than from most Midlands towns. Four destinations, route-pair framed.

Common questions

Before you get in touch

Do you do student moves?

A lot of them. The university makes late June and mid-September the two busiest weeks of our year, and those slots go early. A room and a few boxes is quick once we know the floor, the block and where a van can legally stand.

Can you get down the terraces off Ashby Road?

Yes, with an early start. Those streets have no driveways and fill with parked cars by mid-morning, so we load early and keep the vehicle moving rather than blocking a road for three hours.

Do you cover the Charnwood villages?

Quorn, Barrow upon Soar, Mountsorrel, Sileby, Woodhouse Eaves, Rothley and the lanes between them. Some approaches are narrow enough that we check them before allocating a full-size vehicle — that check is free and it prevents the bad mornings.

Is storage available between completions?

Yes — wrapped, inventoried and racked indoors, collected as part of the same move. Worth mentioning at quote stage even if you only think you might need it.

Can a move carry on into Europe?

Yes. The load leaves Loughborough, picks up the M1 south and runs out through Kent to the crossings. Same crew packing, and the customs paperwork prepared here from the survey inventory.
